KCB provided full HVAC design for the addition of two DOAS systems along with duct systems and vertical, fire-rated, chase construction. KCB provided and installed these systems as well as a new guest room control EMS, constant exhaust register renovation, new domestic water booster pump and new electronic TMV. At the conclusion of the project, the factory sent out a certified technician to start up the units and verify operation. KCB verified that proper installation and operation standards were adhered to at the completion of the project. This project was completed in 2024.

KCB was hired to manage the upgrade for the 840-ton chiller as well as the domestic heating and hydronic boiler plant at the Marriott Scottsdale McDowell Mountain Full-Service Resort Hotel, Scottsdale AZ. KCB provided a rental chiller for the property to provide it with cooling and ensure the property could continue operating at normal capacity. All pumps were upgraded to include VFDs to help with the efficiency of the system.

KCB installed two custom DOAS units with coastal protection to ensure the new units are functioning properly for the duration of their intended life. The existing equipment was installed in 2017 and was only five years old at the time of the assessment. Due to the proximity to the ocean, and the lack of proper coastal protection, the equipment was completely deteriorated and non-functional.

KCB provided all initial design work for 220 units across two phases at this multi-unit, multi-building property. Phase one consisted of a strictly mechanical renovation with each of the 88 units receiving updated HVAC system and controls. KCB also managed phase two in coordination with a PIP renovation, managing phased installation across approximately 100 days coordinating with full construction. Each unit received an updated HVAC system and controls. At the conclusion of the project, the factory sent out a certified technician to start up the units and verify operation. KCB verified that proper installation and operation standards were adhered to at the completion of the project.

KCB was hired to review the mechanical equipment at a restaurant with a long-tenured tenant within an existing client property. Our assessment revealed multiple deficiencies in the existing HVAC systems that the client had been dealing with for several years. KCB was able to modify the design and selection in order to eliminate the deficiencies and provide correct design and equipment selections to handle space conditioning and ventilation for the kitchen and BOH operations.
