KCB was hired to manage an engineered project which included the replacement of a MUA system, an ERU system, and make some modifications to the domestic water system. Hurricane Ian happened during the planning phase and resulted in the addition of another ERU system, three fans and three hoods. All of the equipment on the exterior was equipped with coastal protections including coated coils and full stainless construction. The domestic water system was upgraded to include two new Intellihot instant water heaters. This allowed the two large water storage tanks to be removed, freeing up much needed space in the mechanical room.
Once the domestic water issues were resolved, KCB managed the installation of new hot water recirculation system for the guest rooms. KCB took pride in handling the complexity of this project with limited impact to the client or guests. At the conclusion of the project in 2024, the factory sent out a certified technician to start up the units and verify operation. KCB verified that proper installation and operation standards were adhered to at the completion of the project.
