KCB was hired in November of 2018 to replace a Closed Loop Cooling Tower in Washington, DC. The original tower was installed in 2000 and failed due to reaching its average life expectancy. KCB provided an Evapco Closed Loop Cooling Tower, added VFD drives and replaced the faulty 3-way control valve. KCB’s primary objective was to provide a replacement tower and controls so the hotel would save money on future operating costs. At the conclusion of the project Evapco and Danfloss sent factory-certified technicians to start the Cooling Tower and VFDs to verify operation. KCB verified that proper installation and operation standards were adhered to at the completion of the project.
